The Vineyard Church of Mechanic Falls was planted out of the Vineyard Church in Lewiston (now Pathway Vineyard) in 1997. After five years serving as associate pastor at the Lewiston Vineyard, Dick Ray and his wife, Maida, felt that God was asking them to venture out and plant a church. After a profound dream and affirmation from the Lord, they knew the plant was to happen in Mechanic Falls and that God was going to amaze them with His plan. Seven years prior to the church plant, while Phil and Janet Strout were missionaries in Chile, God impressed upon Janet that, “Someday there will be a church in Mechanic Falls that will change the expression and understanding of Christianity in one generation.” In 1997, the church began their meetings at a country-western dance hall and after two and a half years of growing and moving, the Vineyard Church was built. In June of 2014, we purchased an adjacent building to accommodate our growth and plans for expanded ministry.
Jesus said to His followers that He would build His church. We love who he is making us to be.
